We are expecting 500 classic vehicles to attend Swainby Classic Car Show on the 30th August. Funds raised this year will go to The Great North Air Ambulance, which is this year’s nominated charity. Two other charities will have stalls at the show, Herriot Hospice Home Care and Breast Care, who will be trying to raise much-needed funds for their respective organisations.
Prizes will be awarded for various classes of vehicle. In the past, these have included: best Austin, best Ford, best MG, best Jaguar, best pre-war motorbike, best post-war motorbike, and best motorbike in the show.
Trade stands will be in attendance, and an array of refreshments will be available in the Village Hall, as well as in the village pubs, the Black Horse and the Blacksmith's Arms.
